Why do you use only OpenID logins and where can I learn more about them?
Unripped is committed to putting you in control. The best thing we can do to start out with is use a free and open identity system such as OpenID. The alternative would be to force you to register with us as most other sites do. By using OpenIDs, you'll be able to share your identity at Unripped with your identities at other OpenID-enables sites such as LiveJournal.

How can I notify people when I share files with them?
Ask them to provide an email in the 'configure' page in their UnrippedFiles page or simply use their email address when you 'edit permissions' to send them a file.
How can I be notified when others share files with me?
Click the 'configure' button when you're logged in to UnrippedFiles and supply an email address. Now when someone shares a file with you, you will get an email notification.
Is there an upload limit?
Yes, it is currently 64MB. We will raise this as our infrastructure grows. When we have completed our WebDAV implementation, the transfer limits will become as large as you need.
Is there a storage quota?
Our soft limit is 1GB. We contact you if your quota is too large. In the near future, we'll set hard limits on quotas and offer pricing options for larger storage.
What is Unripped?
Unripped is a new community devoted to creating web tools that not only work well (like those Google and Facebook offer), but also leave users in control of their data. OpenID is our first effort in this regard; soon we will begin releasing code and showing users how they can migrate their data from one network to another.
